Ingrid Anakeu-Kaké is our Communications Coordinator, which means she brings the stories of our network to life. She oversees our social media channels and newsletter, writes great stories and supports our staff and network members.
Ingrid has discovered that the types of stories you tell can truly keep you motivated. The diversity at Réseau Compassion Network keeps her engaged every day. “My work isn’t limited to just one organization,” she explains. “Sometimes, I’m focused on mental health, then diet and diabetes, then people with disabilities. Everything I do is focused on people doing good things, on people who are helping others. That’s really rewarding!”
Since she started working with us, she’s developed a passion for another aspect to communications: graphic design. “When I picture something in my head and it comes out better than expected, I get really excited,” she admits.
When the weekend comes and it’s time to unwind, Ingrid will do the most or the least. “On a beautiful summer day, I’ll go to the beach. I love to play volleyball and even when my feet are burning in the sand, I’m going to stick it out because I’m competitive,” she admits with a laugh. When she needs some alone time, she’ll go for a long walk to let her mind wander. No music, no podcasts, just her feet on the pavement. “You can listen to the birds sing, or the trees rustling,” she says. “Sometimes, I look around and wonder about the people in the houses and imagine what happens behind those walls.”
What can we say? A true communicator never stops looking for her next story!
