Short Course – Mindful Self-Compassion (Winter session)

The Short Course – Mindful Self-Compassion combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion, providing a powerful tool for emotional resilience. In this six-week class, you will learn some principles and practices of mindful self-compassion, so you can better relate to and care for yourself, both physically and emotionally. Registration is available on a sliding scale.

Resilience & Resurgence: Why Reconciled Healing Spaces are Essential to Healing

This virtual conference, hosted by Marymound, asks the question: How can Indigenous knowledge and Western knowledge be reconciled?

It’s been more than five years since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action urged Canadians to explore Canada’s colonial systems for meaningful dialogue and marked change. While steps have been taken, there remains much work to be done to engage Indigenous communities and Indigenous knowledge systems.

The idea of Reconciled Spaces envision a process that incorporates Indigenous inclusion, decolonization, and indigenization to change policies, practices and structures.

In addition to using reconciliatory language, resilience and resurgence-based practices must be integrated to ensure a way toward renewed spaces, systems, and relationships.

There is a need for change to better serve Indigenous children, families, and employees. Join us for a day and half conference and dialogue to explore how we can include Indigenous perspectives in transformative ways that include foundational, knowledge-based, and structural shifts in ways of being and doing.
